Sir Can't-A-Lot
There once was a boy who said “can’t” … A LOT! He earned the nickname Sir Can’t-A-Lot. He loved the medieval times and having daily imaginative adventures with his pet dragon named Merlin. Arthur is often in his imagination, and he forgets to do things "in the real world", like chores. His parents had a clever idea to remind Arthur to do his chores, believe in himself that he CAN do anything he puts his heart and mind to. Beautifully illustrated by visionary artist, Biljana (Banchotova) Webb of Whirling Wisdom Art Studio in the Lanark Highlands of Ontario.

here once was a boy who said “can’t” … a lot! His parents nick-named him Sir Can’t-A-Lot, as he loved the medieval times and wore a knight’s helmet he bought at a Renaissance Festival last summer. He also had a pet bearded dragon lizard named Merlin, who he had daily imaginative adventures with.
Trouble is, Arthur is so much in his imagination, he forgets to do things "in the real world" like chores. He can't get through them without procrastination or worry. Something else is on Arthur's mind, distracting him from being brave.
His parents come up with a clever idea to remind Arthur to do his chores and believe in himself that he CAN do anything he puts his heart and mind to.

Merlin the bearded dragon

p.s. After reading this book, your child will naturally have an interest in all things Medieval and of course, curiousity about what is a pet bearded dragon?! I've had one as a pet before. They are quite chill, eat a lot of salads and crickets (live), and make smelly stinks when they "go" but other than that, they make great pets for a curious mind. They are happy hanging out on your shoulder or a nearby blanket when they are outside of their reptile tank/habitat. We had a lot of fun when we had ours. To note, you will have this pet in your house when your children leave for college! (They can live around 19 years!) Please consult a reputable breeder if you are looking at adopting one of these animals as a pet and I implore you to do your research.
